Civility
Over 150 years of Masonry in the Rockridge district of Oakland.
What is Civility
Civility is one of core values of Masonry but what is Civility? While many people have different opinions of what Civility is, “treating people with respect” is something most people believe is a core value of Civility.
Civility is not about being polite or being unable to express your opinions. In Masonry, we have concepts such as “treating everyone on the level” which can be considered part of the values of Civility.
Our support for Civility
Our Lodge supports spreading the values of Civility in society by supporting several Masonic and non Masonic organizations that promote the concepts of Civility.
While spreading the values of Civility in society can seem overwhelming, remember it starts with yourself.
